Vaccination Operations in the Province: Coverage Operation and Schedule for Schemes and Covid-19 Reinforcements

This Saturday specific nodes will be installed in different parts of the province to start and complete schemes.

The Ministry of Public Health, through the Vaccination Brigade, continues with the operations in different parts of the province, according to the guidelines indicated by the minister, Luis Medina Ruiz.

The local health portfolio invites the population to participate in the coverage operation that will be installed on Saturday, July 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 107 and CAPS San Martín in the capital. Inside it will be in the CAPS Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Alderetes); Villa Mariano Moreno polyclinic; Trancas hospital; CIC Monteros and Monseñor Herrera Complex (Aguilares)

Those interested may apply the new Covid-19 reinforcement, start schemes, receive second and additional doses.

With respect to the flu vaccine, it is included in the National Vaccination Calendar for the groups with the highest risk, and is available free of charge in vaccination centers, hospitals and public health centers from Monday to Friday and on Saturdays in rotating nodes such as polyclinics, CAPS and nodes enabled in the Tucuman center.

What are the groups included in the vaccination schedule?

• Pregnant. They should apply it in any trimester of pregnancy. The vaccine protects both the mother and the baby (through the passage of antibodies through the placenta).

• In case of not having received it during pregnancy, the mother should be vaccinated within 10 days after delivery.

• Children from 6 to 24 months. They should receive 2 doses, separated by at least 4 weeks if they have not previously received 2 doses of influenza vaccine.

• Those who have received at least two doses of flu vaccine in the past should receive only one dose.

• The risk groups that have an indication for receiving the flu vaccine include people from 2 years to 64 years of age who present certain conditions such as respiratory and heart diseases, diabetics, congenital or acquired immunodeficiencies (non-oncohematological), oncohematological patients and transplant recipients. Cohabitants of oncohematological patients, people with chronic renal failure on dialysis or with expectations of entering dialysis in the following six months, severe developmental delay in children under 18 years of age, chronic treatment with acetylsalicylic acid in children under 18 years of age, genetic syndromes, neuromuscular diseases with respiratory compromise and severe congenital malformations, cohabitants of premature infants weighing less than 1,500 g, among others.

• Adults over 65 years of age.

For a more effective attention, it is requested to attend with DNI and vaccination card in the case of having it. It is worth noting the importance of having the calendar vaccines and Covid reinforcements, especially in the season of lowering temperatures.
