To support the work that will be carried out in the Valparaíso region by a contingent belonging to Regiment No. 23 Copiapó, the SEREMI de Salud de Atacama coordinated a vaccination operation for those who will travel to said area, within the framework of the support work carried out the military institution after the fires that affected different communes in that region.
On the occasion, the Seremi de Salud (s), Marcia Monsalves Solis, indicated that “as a Regional Health Authority we received a request from Regiment No. 23 Copiapó to manage a vaccination operation for the personnel who moved to Valparaíso given the current scenario in which that region finds itself.”
“For this reason, as SEREMI de Salud, we went to the establishment with vaccines for the prevention of vaccine-preventable diseases through the “Vaccination in situations of natural disasters” strategy, vaccinating 27 people in total. Of these, 13 were vaccinated with the Tetanus vaccine, plus the updated monovalent vaccine against Covid-19; eight with the Covid-19 vaccine and six with the Tetanus vaccine,” the authority added.
It should be noted that all of the above was framed in the vaccination schedules that correspond to each user according to ministerial technical guidelines.
