With a team of nurses from different executing units of the metropolitan area, day 21 of the “Vaccination of the Americas” began, which for this year selected the corregimiento 24 de Diciembre.
Miss Elida Carrión Mayorga, head in charge of Nursing at the JJ Vallarino Polyclinic, indicated that the Ministry of Health chose the area of 24 de Diciembre, after the studies -carried out in the different corregimientos- which showed low coverage in the vaccination system.

He stressed that all the vaccines in the scheme will be applied such as: hepatitis B, Hexavalent, Rotavirus, chicken pox, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), bivalent Coronavirus, influenza, among others, with the exception of the bivalent vaccine from 5 to 11 years.
During this vaccination week, from April 22 to 29, it is expected to apply between 400 to 600 vaccines per day. Staff from the Carlos N. Brinn Polyclinic, Manuel Ferrer Valdés Polyclinic, Presidente Remón Polyclinic and the JJ Vallarino Polyclinic collaborated. The rest of the health facilities of the Social Security Fund will be vaccinating in their respective executing units.
