Vaccination | Long line at the start of vaccination against COVID-19 for people over 32 years old at the Parque de la Exposición

The Ministry of Health began this morning to vaccinate against COVID-19 to 32 and 33 year olds during the seventh vaccination of 36 uninterrupted hours which will take place this Saturday, September 4 and Sunday, 5 in Metropolitan Lima and Callao, and in at least ten other regions of Peru.

In this new vaccination day, pregnant women, over 18 years of age, with 28 weeks of gestation, citizens of 38 years and older with a pending second dose and laggards will also be vaccinated.

In addition, adolescents aged 12 to 17 are considered in this group with comorbidities, such as rare or orphan diseases, organ transplantation or waiting list, serious mental and neurodevelopmental disorders, cancer patients and people with Down syndrome.

For this new edition of the Vaccination, whose goal is to apply 600 thousand doses, the following regions will participate: Metropolitan Lima, Callao, Amazonas, Ancash, Apurímac, Cusco, Cajamarca, Huánuco, Ica, Lima Region, Moquegua and Ucayali, confirmed so far.

In the case of Metropolitan Lima and Callao, the seventh Vaccination It will be held from 7:00 am on Saturday 4 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 5 in 29 vaccination centers.

In this way, the Ministry of Health continues to broaden the age range in the national vaccination process in order that more residents are protected against the pandemic of the COVID-19 and the possibility of a third wave.
