Vaccination is also available during the holidays. Exact vaccination data will be announced on Tuesday. In the last four days, 7989 new infections have been confirmed, bringing the total number of identified infections to 1,245,319 since the outbreak began. The majority of the 436 deaths in the past four days are elderly and chronic, bringing the number of deaths to 38,743. The number of people cured is constantly increasing, currently 1,087,943, and the number of active infected people has decreased to 118,633. 4,063 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 409 of whom are on ventilators. The omicron virus variant is also spreading in Hungary, so those who have not been vaccinated for more than four months are still asked to take the vaccine and those who have been vaccinated for more than four months to receive the booster. The registration and appointment website for vaccinating children aged 5-11 is constantly open to parents. Vaccinations are also available during the holidays by appointment.
It is still possible to take the vaccine as soon as possible. At the priority hospital vaccination points, it is also possible to have a first or confirmatory vaccination during the holidays by prior appointment.

In view of the success of the previous vaccination campaigns and the appearance of the omicron virus variant in Hungary, there will be several vaccination campaigns in January at the hospital vaccination points and in the specialist clinics of the district headquarters, when vaccination can be requested again without prior appointment and on-site registration. In addition, the National Vaccination Working Group also urges GPs to hold specific vaccination action days in addition to vaccinations ordered at the time of ordering.
Vaccinations are scheduled to take place every Thursday and Friday afternoon and Saturday in January at hospital checkpoints and district clinics at checkpoints.

GPs will continue to vaccinate at the time of ordering and are also asked to vaccinate at least one Friday afternoon and Saturday without prior appointment. Of course, if your GP agrees, you can have not only one, but up to four vaccinations. For GPs, the national chief medical officer also officially orders vaccination action days, so he is entitled to a separate reimbursement for Saturday vaccination action days.
Registration and appointment booking for children aged 5-11 is also open at all times. The appointment can be entered by parents who have registered their child with complete data in the last few days and have already validated their registration. The parent can also tell their home pediatrician if they want to have their child vaccinated. All children 5 to 11 years of age can be vaccinated if requested by a parent and there is no contraindication to vaccination. Vaccination is contraindicated in acute febrile illness. The second vaccination in children is also due 3 weeks after the first vaccination. In addition to hospital vaccinations, home pediatricians who require the vaccine are also vaccinated.More: https://koronavirus.gov.hu/cikkek/folyamatosan-nyitva-regisztracio-es-az-idopontfoglalo-az-5-11-eves-gyermekek-oltasa
In addition to healthcare facilities and public transportation, masks must continue to be worn in shops, shopping malls, post offices, customer service, theaters, cinemas, museums and sporting events. At indoor cultural and other events, gyms, swimming pools, spas, and catering shops, employees must wear a mask.
To increase vaccination, employers may require their employees to be vaccinated. Vaccination is expected in the public sector, and mayors can decide on it. Companies that require their employees to be vaccinated can also request a vaccine from county vaccination teams, in which case occupational physicians can also have the vaccine.
