Gyms, health centers, community halls or hospitals … The vaccination centers opened by the regional health agency (ARS) are located in a wide variety of places. And their organization is also very different depending on the chosen site.
In Cergy, for example, it is the Linandes medical center, private, which was appointed, while the mayor of the city wanted to make the large Carreaux space available. In Magny-en-Vexin, it is also a health center that takes care of operations, but the municipality is still a stakeholder. “We will in particular help transport people who need it by providing a minibus which will be driven by a volunteer,” explains the mayor (DVD) Luc Puech d’Alissac. In addition, a private company agreed to voluntarily transport the doses from the Pontoise hospital. “
The citizen reserve mobilized in Pontoise
A strong mobilization of local actors indeed seems to ensure the fluidity of the campaign everywhere. “There is real goodwill on the part of everyone and I believe that everyone derives real satisfaction from participating in this channel,” notes the (Free!) Mayor of Pontoise Stéphanie Von Euw. Here, it was the municipal services that fully coordinated the creation of the center. The injections are provided by city doctors and liberal nurses who take turns. Representatives of the Red Cross and firefighters are also present.
Municipal agents, elected officials as well as members of the citizens’ reserve – recently created by the city – take care of all the administrative part and are responsible for supporting patients. All are active in the Cordeliers space. “I made this choice deliberately because I did not want to condemn sports equipment for an indefinite period at a time when young people just need to play sports”, explains the mayor.
