The Belgian authorities have allowed the Pfizer vaccine to be vaccinated against coronavirus in children from 5 to 11 years old. This will be done on a voluntary basis with the consent of the parent or guardian.

As the newspaper notes, the intergovernmental commission on health (CIM) has decided to allow vaccination of children aged 5 to 11 years. The vaccinations will be given to the child version of Pfizer / BioNTech. Two doses are scheduled to be given 21 days apart.
The office of the Federal Minister of Health of Belgium told the publication that vaccination of children 5-11 years old from coronavirus will take place on a voluntary basis with the consent of parents or guardians.
The country’s Minister of Health, Crist Morreale, clarified that when vaccinating, priority will be given to children at increased risk after consulting a therapist or pediatrician who will identify concomitant diseases. Vaccination invitations will be sent out at the end of December, the head of the department added.
