Guanajuato, Gto. August 2, 2021.- Vaccination against Covid-19 in Guanajuato for people between 30 and 39 years old will start this Tuesday in 19 municipalities.
The Secretariat of Health of Guanajuato informed that it will be from the pharmaceutical AstraZeneca and the vaccination begins after noon, in Apaseo el Grande, Apaseo el Alto, Comonfort, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Irapuato, Acámbaro, Jerécuaro, Tarandacuao, Abasolo, Juventino Rosas, Villagrán, Valle de Santiago, Manuel Doblado, Purísima del Rincón, Salvatierra, Yuriria, Uriangato and Moroleón.
It will be 3 or 4 days of vaccination or while supplies last at each point, whichever occurs first.
Daniel Díaz Martínez Secretary of Health added that it is important that the population is calm since all vaccines protect against serious cases of coronavirus, and recalled that it is important to avoid mixing vaccines since it has not been scientifically proven that this practice is effective and can present against indications.
The Secretary of Health made a call to follow health protection measures, such as the mandatory use of face masks, constant hand washing, avoiding crowds, respecting a healthy distance, sanitizing spaces and ensuring adequate ventilation.
To date, a total of more than almost 3 million doses have been applied, which represents a coverage of just over 44% percent in the vaccination of the total population of Guanajuato.
This progress has been achieved thanks to the infrastructure and vaccination personnel that has been ranked 1st place nationally by the federal evaluation Walking to Excellence.
The biologicals will be enough to meet the demand of the population, so it is recommended to avoid crowds and queue early.
