Higher education students can order free self-tests on the website until the end of July zelftestonderwijs.nl. That is what Minister of Education Van Engelshoven writes in a letter to the House of Representatives. After that it is no longer possible, because the contract with the website provider expires, says a spokesperson.
Applications for testing will still be accepted until July 31. Until then, students can request tests to be used up to two weeks after the first day of study.
The website is a collaboration between higher education, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the national SURF portal. At the launch, Van Engelshoven called on students to use it as much as possible.
Even now, the minister still wants students to have themselves tested, especially after the holidays. In the letter, she calls on educational institutions to make self-tests available to students. “They can use the self-tests previously requested by the institution for this.”
