An employee of the Samaritan Association made serious allegations against the daily newspaper “Heute”: A group of colleagues allegedly issued false vaccination certificates for money. “First people collected money and then entered them into the system as immunized people without a vaccination,” the informant reported. This information was quickly passed on by word of mouth.
Those unwilling to vaccinate then reported to special employees and were smuggled into the vaccination booth – without actually receiving a sting there. “Everything had to be agreed upon. If you wanted to have your vaccination certificate forged, you had to know exactly who to talk to and which cubicle to go to, ”the employee told“ Today ”.
Affected employees dismissed and reported
A spokeswoman for the Samaritan Association confirmed the allegations against Radio Vienna. Thanks to attentive colleagues, the fraud was finally uncovered at the beginning of December. Research then also showed that there had been an unusually high number of vaccinations without an e-card being inserted. “People have also received passports who have not even been to the Austria Center,” said the spokeswoman. They reacted immediately, fired the people concerned and reported them to the police. The safety measures in the vaccination line have also been tightened – and the tasks, for example, have been distributed over several stations.
According to the spokeswoman, two employees were fired, they had also admitted the fraud. The investigations would show whether the network was larger – she did not want to disclose or confirm details of the course of the fraud either. Doctors are definitely not affected. The vaccination can also be administered by qualified health personnel. The spokeswoman assumes “several dozen” cases – how much those affected have spent on their false vaccination certificates is still unclear.
