The Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, confirmed that the national government has received 1,106 guardianships against the requirement of the vaccination card against covid-19 presented in decree 1408.
The announcement was made on his Twitter account, where he revealed that the vast majority of them have been ruled in favor of the measure presented by President Iván Duque. “Of 354 failed guardianships, all have been favorable to the measure,” he said.

The official assured that in the Presidency of the Republic 302 guardianships have been received, 280 at the Ministry of the Interior, 278 the Ministry of Health and 246 legal actions at the Ministry of Commerce for a total of 1,106 guardianships.
“The coordinated action of the legal agencies of the Presidency of the Republic and the different ministries of health, Interior and Commerce makes possible the adequate execution of response to guardianships and positive results,” he stressed.
The report reveals that, of the failed guardianships, which are 354, 150 have been favorable for the Presidency of the Republic, 148 for the Ministry of the Interior, 26 for the Ministry of Health and 30 for the Ministry of Commerce.
Ruiz also confirmed the most recent report of guardianship actions that have reached the Ministry of Health.
“Report on guardianships due to the vaccination card requirement as of November 26, 2021: 281 guardianship actions have been notified to the Ministry of Health. 60 with failure, all favorable for the entity, since they have been denied or declared inadmissible”, He assured on his Twitter account.

Since last November 16, the national government announced the requirement of a vaccination card with covid-19, with a dose, to enter public places such as bars, restaurants, cinemas and stadiums, among other places in Colombia, where there is a massive presence of people.
The Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, reported that the measure began to apply to people over 18 years of age, while as of November 30, the turn would be for minors from 11 to 17 years old in public places.
The official also said that the government postponed the requirement of the vaccination card with the doses, which represents the complete scheme of vaccines against covid-19 to enter public places.
“The request for a second dose to enter entertainment venues is postponed until December 14. We will continue to require a card with the first dose, ”he said.
