The Health Secretariat of the Government of the State of Colima reported that the goal of the vaccination campaign against seasonal influenza, which will conclude next December, is to vaccinate 95% of the target population, such as girls and boys from 6 to 59 months of age. age and people 60 years of age and older, while against Covid-19 it is applied to people who have not received or completed the vaccination schedule.

The Epidemiology Subdirectorate of the state agency reported that the population with the highest risk of complications, hospitalization and mortality due to influenza is being vaccinated, as well as pregnant women in any trimester of pregnancy or exclusive breastfeeding period, medical and paramedical personnel in contact with users of the system.

And in the case of the vaccine against Covid-19, there must be progress equal to or greater than 70% in national coverage by December 29 and 100% by the end date of the campaign.

He indicated that, considering the information currently available, it is assumed that the virus will continue to evolve, with an increase in infections that will require periodic booster doses of the vaccine to protect vulnerable groups at greater risk of serious illness and death.

He reiterated that on December 15, the vaccination campaign against the human papillomavirus (HPV) ends for girls who are in fifth or sixth grade of primary school, as well as eleven and twelve year olds who are not in school and in first grade. secondary school and thirteen years of age not in school.

The population at risk is considered: cisgender and transgender women between 11 and 49 years old who live with HIV, as well as the lagging population (girls in second and third grade of secondary school, as well as fourteen and fifteen year olds who are not in school), always and when they have not received at least one of two vaccines in previous years.
