The Health Secretariat of the Government of the State of Colima called on the Colima population in general and mothers, fathers or guardians of children under 5 years of age, as well as people aged 60 years and over, to go to the Health Services and They receive vaccines against influenza and Covid-19, in order to reduce the risk of suffering from these diseases and prevent health complications.

The state agency specified that the population with the highest risk of complications, hospitalization and mortality due to influenza is being vaccinated, as well as pregnant women in any trimester of pregnancy or exclusively breastfeeding.

Likewise, medical and paramedical personnel in contact with users of the system and administration and administrative personnel who are in contact with clinical areas and pharmacies are vaccinated.

In the press conference offered on the agency’s digital platforms, the Epidemiology Subdirectorate recalled that the vaccination campaign against the human papillomavirus ends on December 15.

For this reason, he invited mothers and fathers with daughters who are in fifth and sixth grade of primary school, as well as those 11 and 12 years old who are not in school and girls in the first grade of secondary school and thirteen years old who are not in school to apply this biological to prevent cervical cancer among their relatives in the future.

He added that this vaccine is also applied to the at-risk population: cisgender and transgender women between 11 and 49 years old who live with HIV, a group in which three doses should be applied with an interval of 0-2-6 months or at least two doses. with an interval of 0-2 months.
