Vaccination begins for children between 5 and 11 years old in Salamanca – El Sol de Salamanca

This Monday begins the application of the anticovid-19 vaccine for children between 5 and 11 years of age at the Pemex Regional Hospital and Salamanca General Hospital, a sector that will receive the Pfizer biological, the only recommended dose for this age group.


For the municipality of Salamanca, a total of 15,300 doses were allocated, of which 7,600 will be applied at the Pemex Regional Hospital and 5,900 for the General Hospital of Salamanca, which will be applied in a period of three days. or while supplies last.

With the application of the biological, the aim is to guarantee the protection of this age group, this in the face of the rebound in coronavirus infections due to the fifth wave, which is expected to be very intense with a greater number of infections.

For this reason, parents are urged to register in advance to access vaccination for minors, through the page mivacuna.salud.gob.mx, in addition to presenting Curp and minors must be accompanied by an adult.

It should be noted that minors will be the only ones to receive this biological, so on this occasion the inoculation of other sectors of the population is not contemplated.

The application of the vaccine for children between 5 and 11 years of age will be carried out from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from July 4 to 6.
