She pointed out that, given the epidemiological situation and also the weather conditions, vaccines against Covid-19 would only be available on prescription from today’s vaccination points in or near mobile vaccination points.
The vaccination project department called on the people calling 8989 to be understanding, because with the rapid increase in the number of callers, it may take a little longer to wait for an answer.

The Zemgale Olympic Center (ZOC) vaccination center in Jelgava is planned to increase its capacity from today, the city municipality reports.
The vaccination center will be moved to the corridor on the second floor of the center, and vaccination will be provided by five teams instead of the current three. As of today, the ZOC vaccination center will resume operations on Mondays, and will also work on Thursdays in October. Working hours have also been extended by one hour.
“On average, each brigade can serve 150 people a day. We will follow the situation and, if necessary, work for another day,” explained Anita Kamenschikova, director of the polyclinic “Aura”, a representative of JSC “Health Center Association”, which provides vaccination to ZOC.
Residents are invited to apply in advance for vaccination, but a “live queue” is also provided every day.
