“Vaccination Against Influenza: Locations and Times in Panama Provinces”

The Ministry of Health (MINSA) announced that vaccination against the influenza throughout the country, given the increase in cases registered in recent weeks.

The authorities recommend that the population be vaccinated for children under 5 years of age, older adults, pregnant women and people with chronic pulmonary diseases (asthma).

Vaccination in the provinces

Colón

The regional team of the province of Colón maintains a vaccination day from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Dr. Juan A. Núñez Policentro, Patricia Duncan Health Center, Buena Vista Health Center, Centro Salamanca Health Center, Portobelo Health Center, Nombre de Dios Health Center, Escobal Health Center, Palmas Bellas Health Center, Icacal Health Center and Miguel de la Borda Health Center.

coclé

The Coclé Health region will be vaccinating against influenza and bivalent, in all Health centers and polyclinics from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm

  • Tuesday May 30: Herd of Aguadulce.
  • Wednesday May 31: La Mata Health Post, in Río Hato Antón; Urriola Super Center, in Aguadulce; Aguas Blancas, in La Loma El Roble Aguadulce- house to house.
  • Friday June 2: El Valle de Antón Community House and Jaguito de La Pintada Community House.

Herrera

In Herrera, people are vaccinating against influenza in all health centers and polyclinics, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.

  • Saturday June 3: Extramural vaccination day in the district of Ocú.
  • Sunday June 4: St. Mary’s Corrections, in Los Canelos, Paradise, La Iguana and Monagrillo.

The Saints

For its part, Los Santos has vaccination points against influenza and bivalent; at the Anita Moreno Hospital in Los Santos, the Joaquín Pablo Franco Sayas Hospital in Las Tablas and the rural hospital in Tonosí; in the Minsa-Capsi of Las Tablas, Macaracas and Pedasí.

In all the health centers and subcenters of the seven districts of the province, from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Veraguas Health Region is vaccinating against influenza in all the Health Centers of the province and in the Dr. Luis “Chicho” Fábrega hospitals; San Francisco Javier de Cañazas Hospital; Minsa-Capsi La Mata and El Tigre de Los Amarillos.

And they maintain a fixed position located on Avenida Central de Santiago in front of Almacén el Poderoso.

In the province of Chiriquí, the regional team of the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) is also administering the influenza and bivalent vaccines in all centers, polycenters, and polyclinics throughout the province, on a schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
