Veracruz, Ver.- The delegate of the Welfare Secretariat in Veracruz, Manuel Huerta Ladrón de Guevara, confirmed that soon they will be starting a vaccination day in schools.
He calculated that this week they could be receiving a new shipment of the pediatric Pfizer vaccine to start the operation in educational establishments.

Without specifying locations, he pointed out that they are already coordinating with the different educational establishments to carry out the immunization. “Remember that in schools the one in charge is the educational authority, we cannot enter any school that our visit is not arranged with them,” he says.
For this reason, it calls on parents and/or guardians to approach the directors of their schools so that they know the date of the day and give the corresponding authorization so that their children can receive it.
The intention is to increase vaccination at the national level of children from 5 to 11 years old, although I made it clear that it is not a risk sector.
“However, there is the idea that if there is a vaccine, they get vaccinated, so to start this campaign at the national level and that is why some teachers are already informing people that this vaccination will be there and since they are already asking us, in effect it is so , that they approach the educational authorities to anticipate the permits that they (parents) have to give, because in the end no vaccination is done without the permission of the parents or guardians”.
The foregoing was made known within the framework of the pension payment operation that he carried out for the elderly in the port of Veracruz, Huerta Ladrón de Guevara, where he also announced that from January 30 to February 3 it will resume in all the state the vaccination against Covid-19, for people over 18 years of age.

The day will also be serving non-immunized people and those who require some reinforcement, however for the latter case it will be required that four months have passed since the previous one was applied.

Manuel Huerta highlights the interest that people have had in getting the vaccine, after the slight rebound in infections that has occurred in recent times.
“And tell them that more people are already going for this vaccine because there was a small uptick in infections that was not serious and did not translate thanks to the fact that they have been vaccinated in hospitalizations or other types of outcomes.”
Finally, and with respect to the payment of pensions for the elderly in the port of Veracruz, Manuel Huerta described the operation as successful for those who receive assistance and asserted that all this week they will be doing the same in the missing locations.
