Vaccination against covid-19 for over 30 years – Health

The Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, announced the opening from tomorrow (Friday) of the vaccination against covid-19 for the population between 30-34 years and the unification of stages in municipalities with a population of less than 100,000 inhabitants.

The ‘Vaccination’ will also be carried out for pregnant women nationwide this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

According to the report of the Ministry of Health of this Thursday, July 22, in Colombia 12,576 were reported new cases of covid-19 in the last hours.

On the other hand, the report accounts for 354 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total number of deaths in Colombia amounts to 117,836.

The National Vaccination Plan (PNV) has exceeded the proposed goals, with 24 million doses applied, so the National Government raises the possibility of lifting, in the coming weeks, age restrictions and unifying all stages to advance in This process.

The National Government announced that it has already purchased 74 million doses of covid vaccines, which guarantees that the goals will be met to achieve the so-called herd immunity this 2021.

Víctor Muñoz, director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency, Dapre, said that next week around 443,000 doses of Pfizer will be received, for July 26 the arrival of the first 200,000 doses of Moderna is expected and the awaiting confirmation to complete nearly 400,000 doses of AstraZeneca.

As reported by the Ministry of Health, with a cut-off to July 21, 24,230,595 doses have been applied and with the complete scheme 10,707,744 people go.
