Monterrey.- The Governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlvedaheaded today at the Colombia bridge in the municipality of Anáhuac, the start of the Cross-Border Vaccination Program for children six months to five years of age.
The state president recalled that Nuevo León was the first state in the country to vaccinate children under 18 years of age through this same scheme, and now once again sets the standard by transferring a thousand minors so that they could be immunized against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. .
As of July 22, 174,000 children between the ages of five and 17 and 103,500 adults had been vaccinated through this program.
García Sepúlveda thanked the US authorities for their support in donating the doses against Covid-19 applied through the Cross-Border Vaccination Program, since the best weapon against said viral disease is immunization.
“We were the first state in the Republic to vaccinate minors and today I thank you again, because this gesture continues to expand cross-border vaccination to children from six months to five years,” said the governor.
He added that we have already had this virus for two years and four months, “but we continue to beat it, we continue to open the economy and we were able to finish a year of school, a school year.”
The state government announced that the doses that have been applied through the Cross-Border Vaccination Program have been Johnson, Moderna, Pfizer and Pediatric Pfizer, authorized to be applied to minors.
On the other hand, also in Anáhuac, García Sepúlveda gave the starting signal to the Operative Heroes Paisanos Summer 2022in order to try to guarantee safe entry and transit with full respect for their rights, to countrymen from the United States who come to vacation or visit their families in Nuevo León and other states of the country.
To all of them we are going to guarantee a passage, traffic and complete security; If they come on vacation, they are welcome,” said the president and agreed, “let all those who come to Nuevo León know that they come to a state of progress, sure, that here there is a rule of law, that they are all welcome and that if someone affects them in their transit they have the government to defend them and endorse their rights of free transit, freedom and their individual guarantees”.
