Vaccinating teenagers? Marieke absolutely does not want to have her children vaccinated

Marieke explains: “We watched all the press conferences with the children. My husband and I are hardworking entrepreneurs, the impact of all the restrictions was great for us, but we kept to everything neatly.”

The mother of four thinks the corona vaccine is too risky, because, according to her, too little is known about the effects. Marieke also thinks that critical voices are not heard. “There are so many doctors and scientists who are just being silenced.”

“I’m not an anti-vaxxer. Our kids have just had all the shots that all other kids get. Our health is very important. When I see a colleague’s very healthy twenty-year-old son become very ill after his second shot, I think: why? I don’t want to do that to our kids.”

Health Council

Outgoing minister De Jonge is in favor of vaccinating teenagers. Mainly to reduce the number of infections in classes. The Health Council also sees the benefits of vaccinating young people, but warns against possible side effects.

Pfizer’s vaccine has been found to be safe for both children and adults, but recently vaccinated individuals may experience mild, temporary side effects.

*To protect her children against possible negative reactions, the name Marieke has been changed. Her real name is known to the editors of Hart van Nederland.
