The crusade against animal rabies starts this Sunday in Llajta. And, for this reason, Zoonosis of the Office of the Mayor of Cochabamba and the Regional Health Service (SEDES) urged the public to join the vaccination campaign against rabies for dogs and cats under the age of one year or those who do not have a dose.
The goal is to reach 24,400 vaccinations. To reach the goal, 200 fixed and mobile groups will be installed throughout the city, especially in the south of the city, from 08:00 to 15:00.
HEALTH CENTER Please note that the possible health centers for the crusade against rabies are: Alto Cochabamba, Alto Pagador, Spain, Gloria, 1 ° de Mayo, Jaihuayco, K’ara K’ara, Maica, Maica Central, Pucarita, Sebastián Pagador, Minero San Juan, Villa Israel, Villa Venezuela and Valle Hermoso.
The head of epidemiology at SEDES, Rubén Castillo, raised the reason for maintaining negative information and protecting public health. As for the increase in cases, they did not report a significant increase more than a month ago.
