Oradea City Hall opened, on Friday, a vaccination center within the Auchan shopping complex, which will be available to the people of Oradea who go shopping.
Immunization in shopping
According to a communiqué from the City Hall, the measure was taken taking into account “the need to increase the vaccination capacity of the population” and “the increased addressability of the citizens of Oradea to vaccination”.
“The new vaccination center opened today, October 22, and is located in the Flanco store area. Access will be by escalators. The center will operate only on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and the program will be from 09: “People who want to get vaccinated can opt for Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccines,” the statement said.
According to the representatives of the municipality, the new vaccination center, fully equipped, makes it possible to carry out a large number of vaccinations safely.

The opening of the new vaccination center was initiated by Auchan.
“The company’s representatives offered to provide us with a space in which to set up a vaccination center, and we joined this proposal. We are currently discussing with other hypermarkets to organize similar centers as close to Oradea as possible. “he said Bihor city-manager of Oradea, Mihai Jurca.
Oradea residents also have other vaccination centers: in Emanuil Gojdu Square (with Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Astra Zeneca vaccines), at Traian Vuia Oradea Technical College (Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson), as well as at Pelican Hospital ( Pfizer).
“We mention the fact that in Romania the vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 is voluntary and free. Vaccination is the optimal solution for returning to a normal life, in a favorable and safe environment,” the City Hall added.
