The results you see in the V test are easy to understand. “Until yesterday, you were shown a whole laundry list of symbols for each result,” says Vandezande. “They had to show what the conditions of the energy contract were. For example, if there was an at sign (@), then that type of contract was handled completely digitally.” The symbols were not user-friendly. The VREG is taking a different tack with the new test.
“We are now working with a search filter,” says Vandezande. “You can use this to set your own preferences. You can also indicate which conditions you do or do not want with a contract. For example, do you definitely want green electricity and do you want a mandatory direct debit or not. Compare it a bit with a real estate website on which you can enter how many bedrooms you want and whether or not a garden is necessary.”
