This is not typical survival. V Rising is the world of vampires. This time, you don’t have to look for water, eat whole berry bushes to satisfy your hunger or stay warm before frost. Although you will hide from the sun, but not because of the heat.

I don’t like to generalize, but so far vampire games as a theme have been boring to me. The exception is Vampire Survivorsbut only in a way, because there is not much vampirism in this game. I would mention one more Castlevaniębut it’s an obvious classic.

Suddenly, a production with a graceful name appeared on Steam V Rising. The title says little, but it is known that it is about vampires and an uprising. We start the game with a short story introduction, and then a tedious tutorial awaits us. It goes on and on and I still haven’t finished it.

V Rising is already a Steam bestseller. We don’t know the exact numbers, but at its peak it was played by 70,256 people. And yet the game appeared in Early Access on May 17, which is just 2 days back at the time of writing this article. How did she win the hearts of players so quickly? Like most titles forged by blacksmiths in non-great studios, it was promoted on Twitch.

According to data from TwitchTracker, the broadcasts of the game were watched on May 17 137,000 people at its peak. This is quite a good result for the premiere of a previously unknown game. However, as is the case with Valheimstreamers promoted a piece of a good production, because it collects fantastic reviews from Steam users.

However, there are problems – players complain about the lack of an offline mode, among other things. Currently, we can only play by connecting to a private server, set up our own, or create a private game – where we can play alone. However, there is no question of a pause as the game is online all the time.

What is V Rising actually all about?
It’s hard to describe V Rising one term. First of all, it is a survival game with wide character development possibilities, which also touches on RPGs. It can also be called a looter and building simulator. We are finally creating a vampire castle and a vampire empire.

What else? An interesting fact here is the isomeric view, which I have the impression that gives the game even more atmosphere. And it was not introduced accidentally, because it helps us avoid the Sun, which deals damage to the hero after a few seconds of exposure to light. In such a view, we have an image of the angle of incidence of the rays and we see where you can hide in the shadows.

You can create more vampires – our servants. I already associate this option with Conan Exiles, where we have the opportunity to stun NPCs so that they can serve us later. Moreover, the game is quite cheap. V Rising it currently costs PLN 72, which is more or less as much as Valheim, when it achieved gigantic success in the early access version.
