New feature highlights

This update adds new features such as improved Chaos Scatter mode, improved .vrscene import, smarter VFB functionality, and Enmesh rendering on V-Ray GPUs. Grasshopper also adds volumetric effects.

Chaos Scatter improvements

The updated Scatter tool introduces advanced scatter modes that span grids, curves, and volumes. Additionally, there are improvements to how area modifiers can be used to limit scattering areas, along with enhanced transform settings for precise control over scattering objects.

Improved VFB functionality

V-Ray Frame Buffer (VFB) has been enhanced as follows.

The new Chromatic Aberration effect adds color distortion that resembles real-world lens imperfections, giving your projects a touch of realism. You can now easily organize layers into folders in stacks for improved navigation. You can now quickly generate simple backgrounds using the new plain color feature in background layers.

Enhanced .vrscene import

The .vrscene import process from Enscape and other applications is now more seamless. Improved texture buffer handling makes importing Enscape scenes faster.

Enmesh rendering on V-Ray GPU

Rendering complex Enmesh scenes is now possible with V-Ray GPU.

V-Ray for Grasshopper Volumetric Effects

V-Ray for Grasshopper now has volumetric effects that increase the realism of atmospheric rendering.

This allows you to create a realistic sky with natural atmospheric depth, or create haze and fog with full-fledged light scattering. Additionally, the latest scatter functionality is accessible through his V-Ray for Grasshopper, which adds components to simplify scatter setup and configuration.

others

Improved viewport materials: Enhanced viewport materials now display procedural textures and their adjustments directly in the viewport. This upgrade greatly improves the experience, especially for users who frequently incorporate viewport screenshots into their project presentations.Importing Chaos Cosmos IES lights: Chaos Cosmos assets with embedded IES light sources can now be imported and rendered. One click to Chaos Cloud: Submitting a scene for rendering in Chaos Cloud now requires just the click of a button, making the workflow more intuitive and faster.
