Surgeon-transplantologist of the Department of Surgery and Organ Transplantation of the Central Customs Hospital, mrcs, Dr. Kamran Beydullayev participated in the “Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Health Decade” event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the genius son of the Turkic world, in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. SIA informs that within the framework of the event, medical specialists of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan, together with their Uzbek colleagues, performed more than 100 surgical operations, examinations and treatments for citizens using high-tech equipment. Surgeon-transplantologist of the Department of Surgery and Organ Transplantation of the Central Customs Hospital, mrcs, Dr. Kamran Beydullayev and nephrologist Elnur Farajov performed 7 kidney transplants and laparoscopic donor surgeries in a medical institution of Uzbekistan for 10 days, and Dr. Kamran Beydullayev held a master class for his Uzbek colleagues on laparoscopic donor surgery.
Within the framework of the event, Azerbaijani specialists who performed surgical operations, examinations and treatments in Uzbekistan were highly appreciated by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musayev, and the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Amrillo Inoyatov, and were presented with letters of thanks.
The purpose of the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Decade of Health Care was to discuss the achievements of both countries in the field of health care and medical science, applied innovations, digitization of health care, the work done in the field of protecting the health of the population, and to exchange experience between medical specialists of the two countries.
