The Council of Universities of Galicia has given the green light this Monday to the authorization to implement the next academic year 2021/2022 at the University of Vigo four new degrees: the Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Galician and Spanish Philology; the Master’s in Unmanned Aerial Systems (together with USC) and in Atlantic City Challenges (in conjunction with USC and UDC), and the PhD program in Mathematics and Applications (in conjunction with USC and UDC). In total, the next course will be implemented 12 new degrees at the three universities Galician: three degrees, eight masters and a doctorate program. All the degrees have the favorable report of the General Secretariat of Universities, the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Galicia (ACSUG) and the Council of Universities. On the other hand, at the meeting held this Monday by the Council of Universities of Galicia, the creation of the UVigo Center for Research in Technology, Energy and Industrial Processes (Cintecx) was announced, once its scientific excellence was accredited. The plenary also approved the creation of the new Faculty of Tourism of the UDC, once the disenrollment process of the University School of Tourism of the Spanish Center for New Professions has been completed to teach the Bachelor of Tourism in its own center. Likewise, the affiliation of the Centro Superior de Hostalaría de Galicia (CSHG) to the University of Santiago de Compostela will be a reality as of next year, under the auspices of what was approved at this morning’s meeting.
