Only the youth tournament planned for the afternoon was canceled due to weather conditions. At 6 p.m. there will be a Bundesliga duel between UVC Ried and Sokol Wien in the Raiffeisen Volleydome with free admission. The UVC Ried is celebrating the club’s 40th anniversary this Saturday with a colorful supporting program. Volleyball fans can look forward to free beer (while stocks last), a raffle, exclusive 40th anniversary UVC fan shirts, the “Golden Pearls” cheerleading group and other attractions.
“The team has to concentrate fully on the championship game in order to collect points for the table. Of course we would like to give the club a victory as a birthday present,” says UVC Ried middle blocker Felix Breit, who has played for the club from his hometown since he was a teenager.
