Furthermore, drones are deployed and firefighters are secured to ensure that they can do their work unhindered.
During New Year’s Eve, the police in Roosendaal will be the first in our country to use so-called tagging spray to brand rioters from a great distance. The liquid glows blue under a UV lamp and contains a special DNA code. The microparticles could be used as evidence that someone was involved in rioting. The police hopes to still be able to arrest suspects, if they are not caught red-handed. The spray is already being used in the fight against shoplifting.
