Utilizing Information Technology, Help Live With COVID-19

The use of the Care Protect application requires support from many parties, especially those directly related to people’s daily lives. Among them are the managers of public facilities such as shopping centers, sports facilities, transportation, or those of a religious nature.

The use of information technology is not only for health protection. Support from the digital industry sector is considered important during the pandemic, because it is efficient in rolling out socio-economic activities without causing large-scale mobility. One of them is industry e–commerce (electronic commerce). This was also stated by Lazada Indonesia’s Chief Customer Officer, Ferry Kuswono.

“In Indonesia, e-commerce has become the main choice for people to meet their daily needs safely and comfortably. This sector has become a common axis of business strategy for sellers and brands when business offline affected by the COVID-19 safety protocol,” he said.

Information technology can indeed play a major role in protecting health and helping people live side by side with COVID-19. Community participation to utilize the technology properly and according to its function is very much needed.

“So it’s all back to the community,” Plate said.

“In addition, the implementation of health protocols is still the key to balance between the health side and the economic side. Vigilance remains a concern as long as we live side by side with COVID-19, especially when the opening of activities is carried out in stages.”
