Reviews are retrospective, the name says it all. I am looking forward to looking ahead and to see what will bring in 2021 and what challenges we will master together. But architecture is permanent, buildings stand for decades and longer. They define their surroundings as concise landmarks, elegant solitaires, sometimes they act as disruptive factors. The best buildings are discreetly withdrawn and after completion appear as if they have always been there.
