A woman United States of America (AS), who wrote a book on how to deal with grief after the death of her husband, is now being charged murder her husband. The mother of three is accused of being behind the death of her own husband, who died as a result overdosis fentanyl.
As reported AFP, Wednesday (10/5/2023), Kouri Richins wrote a book entitled ‘Are You With Me?’ around a few months after her husband, Eric Richins, was found dead in their bedroom at the couple’s Utah residence in March 2022.
Richins told police she had mixed the drink for her husband and put him in bed. When returning to the room, as reported by local media Fox 13Richins found her husband was ‘cold to the touch’.
An autopsy revealed Richins’ husband had died of an overdose fentanylwith five times the lethal dose found in his body.
Upon further investigation, investigators found that Richins had previously asked an acquaintance of his to get a prescription for a strong pain reliever, specifically described as “the kind Michael Jackson used”.
Richins is known to have received up to 30 fentanyl pills — a drug used to relieve severe pain, for example from cancer or surgery, which is also usually used as an anesthetic.
Before being found dead, or days after Richins obtained dozens of the fentanyl pills, according to reported investigative documents Fox 13the husband had “told a friend that he thought his wife was trying to poison him”.
Richins is understood to have recovered an additional supply of fentanyl shortly before her husband’s death.
