While emojis are the best way to react to messages on Snapchat, they don’t always express the exact feeling we want to convey. Even the Bitmojis in the app aren’t enough. To help with this, Snapchat offers a feature called Tiny Snaps that lets you record your reaction along with the chat. Sounds fun, right? Read on to learn how this feature works.
What are Tiny Snaps on Snapchat?
Tiny Snaps are small snaps that you can send to someone along with your text chat. As Snapchat calls them, these are “bite-sized snaps” that you can click as you type. As the name suggests, Tiny Snaps don’t take up the entire screen like regular snaps. There’s no way to increase their size.
They appear next to the text like an emoji. They also don’t expire and stay there as long as the text itself. However, this feature is currently exclusive to Snapchat Plus subscribers, but may be available to others later.
How to use Tiny Snaps on Snapchat
To use this feature, you’ll need a Snapchat Plus subscription. If you already have it, here’s how to create your own Tiny Snaps and send them to your friends.
- Open a chat on Snapchat and type a message.
- The camera icon on the left in the chat window changes to the Tiny Snap icon. Tap on it.
- This will open the camera viewfinder in this small window.
- If you click on the Send Button “Click on a picture of yourself and send it along with your message in chat.”
That’s pretty much all about Tiny Snaps, so make sure you use the right phrase before sending your message in chat.
This sums up Snapchat’s Tiny Snaps feature. While it’s not particularly extensive, it’s a fun way to express yourself in a conversation. Since Snapchat already has a huge library of effects and masks, I’d love to see these added to Tiny Snaps in a later update to make things even more fun and interesting.
The feature is slowly rolling out to everyone, so you should see it in your app soon. If you have any questions about Tiny Snaps, post them in the comments section and we’ll answer them.
