Bachata music as an instrument to help other young people Music is everything for these young people. They are Dominicans in New Jersey. They dream of succeeding. Alejandro: They have been together as a group for 5 months. a way to get out of it. alejandro: they have visited they hope to reach at least 20 of the jarin state carrying a message against bullying.>> and many people who remain silent when they are harassed by bullying. alejandro: the music for these adolescents is therapeutic. it has helped them with their mental health and to cope with stress.>> there are moments in which I have felt low in self-esteem and it has helped me to cheer up, to express I was attracted to the guitar. Driven to stay away from violence..>> People are not looking to do many bad things. It has been like one, two, three, four. Alejandro: I was able to see it first hand. It requires talent, dedication and a lot of learning. >> Music has taught us to be more united. Alejandro: Family support has been key. Their parents’ guidance and love have helped them continue on the right path. This mother knows it very well. If every father gets involved in his children’s dreams, there will be fewer frustrations.
