According to Weibo broke the news of the well-known Chinese technology blog @数码闲话站, chipmaker MediaTek tentatively plans to launch the Dimensity 9300 in October. A major feature of this flagship processor is the use of a full-core architecture, which consists of four Cortex-X4 super-cores and four Cortex-A720 cores, and is equipped with an Immortalis G720 image processor.
Adopt full large core architecture
According to @数码问话站, Dimensity 9300 will be manufactured by TSMC with N4P process, and with Apple’s A17 Bionic processor as the imaginary enemy, the power consumption will be reduced by 50%. The Dimensity 9300 uses the Cortex-X4 core, which is said to have a 15% increase in performance compared to the previous generation, while reducing power consumption by 40%, while the Cortex-A720 helps the processor achieve a 20% increase in power efficiency. When the LPDDR5T DRAM of Korean memory manufacturer SK Hynix is used with Dimensity 9300, its speed is as high as 9.6Gbps, which is an increase of 13% compared with the previous generation.
Preemptive release of SD8G3
MediaTek plans to launch the Dimensity 9300 ahead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and the vivo X100 series is expected to be the first phones to ship globally with this processor. @Digital Chat Station also said that the price of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is very high, and mobile phone manufacturers may choose Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Dimensity processors for new phones to save costs.
