R&B star Usher rocked Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in the Super Bowl halftime show. During halftime of the American Football final between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, he was accompanied by a number of surprise acts. “I love you,” the singer shouted to the audience.

The score was 10-3 in favor of the San Francisco team when Usher entered the stadium led by a marching band. The R&B legend put on a cast of dancers, stilt walkers, acrobats and pole dancers to entertain the crowd of 60,000.

Usher started his fifteen-minute show with well-known hits such as Caught Up, U Don’t Have to Call, Superstar in Love in the Club. Usher regularly changed outfits between singing and dancing.

Immediately afterwards it was time for the first guest performance of the evening. Singer Alicia Keys sat behind a bright red piano If I Ain’t Got You to be heard. That song flowed seamlessly My Boo that she sang with Usher.

The energetic show continued with a performance by guitar player HER and to conclude, rappers Will.i.am, Lil Jon and Ludacris made an appearance. They supported Usher with one of his biggest hits: Yeah.

R&B singer Usher has sold more than 80 million records since his career began in 1994. He has eight Grammys to his name.

Artists in stadium

There were also numerous artists in the stadium watching the highlight of the American Football season. Most attention was paid to singer Taylor Swift who is dating Chiefs player Travis Kelce. Furthermore, the observant viewer could see Paul McCartney and Lady Gaga sitting among the audience.

The Chiefs ultimately came out on top. Coach Andy Reid’s team defeated the 49ers 25-22 in an exciting final after extra time in Las Vegas.

The halftime show is one of the most watched music spectacles of the year in the United States. Previously, greats such as Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre have appeared on stage.

Rihanna did the halftime show last year:

Dutch DJ Tiësto was actually also supposed to perform, but he canceled last week due to a family situation. Tiësto would perform in the stadium before the match and during the breaks.

Some of his sets would be shown in the television recording of the match. It was the first time that the National Football League (NFL) chose to have a DJ play during the finals.
