A large number of iOS users running version 13.5.1 are dealing with battery issues. The battery drains considerably faster than usual, and this seems to affect both the iPhone and the iPad. Apple is said to have fixed the issues in iOS 13.6 which is still in beta right now.
The problems are among others reported on the Apple community forums; Due to the large number of reactions, it seems that many users suffer from a fast-draining battery in which the housing heats up, although it is not possible to determine the exact size of the problems.
It seems that iPhones and iPads with iOS 13.5.1 suffer from a battery drain where apps in the background charge more from the battery than usual. Some users report that turning off background refresh of applications helps narrow the battery drain. Other users state that turning dark mode off can help.
It’s probably a software bug in iOS 13.5.1. Apple brought released this version of the mobile operating system last month to make the Unc0ver jailbreak impossible. The beta for the upcoming iOS version 13.6 is said to address the battery drain issues.
