Users can hide bank balance with a hand gesture in ING app | NOW

Users of the iOS app from ING can hide their bank balance with a hand gesture from people who secretly watch. ING made Thursday known to have expanded the app with that new feature.

When the iOS app is updated to the latest version, users can hide their bank balance by swinging from top to bottom along the selfie camera or by tapping the smartphone screen with two fingers simultaneously.

If users have performed one of the hand movements ten times, they will receive a message from the app: ‘Well done, 5 calories burned’.

Users can also choose to hide their balance by default. You can do this by tapping ‘Keep your balance private’ in the app settings and then by tapping ‘Hidden by default’.

The new feature only works on phones with iOS version 10.3 or higher. It is not known when the update will come to Android phones; ING “is still working on it,” ING writes.
