The campaign is organized by the producer responsibility system company “Zaļa josta” in cooperation with the store chain “Kurši” and the hazardous waste recycling company “BAO”.

On the day of the campaign, residents can not only get rid of their unnecessary and worn-out electrical equipment for free, but also participate in a surprise prize draw.

During the event, you can hand over all kinds of non-dismantled electrical equipment that you no longer need, such as a refrigerator, electric lawnmower, printer, toaster, TV, iron, microwave oven, mobile phone, electric toothbrush or hair dryer.

Electrical equipment can be handed over free of charge at the “Kurši” store in Liepāja, Parka street 21, Jelgava, Rūpniečias street 22a, Salaspilī, Zviedru street 6, Saulkrastos store “Kurši”, Valmiera province, Kocēni parish “Ķeizaros”, and Ķekavas in the district in the store “Kurši A7”.

According to the organizers of the event, items that can be connected to electricity, which contain a microchip or microchip, must not be thrown into the household waste.

Any electrical engineering is hazardous waste made of a wide variety of materials – toxic heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, mercury, copper, various plastics, glass, substances that prevent ignition, so when they get into the environment, they can pollute groundwater and endanger human health. .
