Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) as the official main distributor of Hino vehicles in Indonesia, continues to strengthen its position as the bus market leader in Indonesia. Not only do they control more than 60% of the market share, in the October-November 2023 period, many autobus companies (PO) will launch new fleets using Hino chassis.
There are several Hino chassis that customers like, from the Hino AK240, RK280 and the newest Hino bus line up in the Euro4 era, namely the RM 280 which comes with a space frame chassis, also equipped with air suspension.
Many autobus companies from Java, Sulawesi and Sumatra have just introduced their newest fleet using Hino chassis, such as PO 27 Trans, PO Akas Mila, PO Arimbi, PO Bagong Grup, PO Dali Prima, PO Efisiensi, PO Eka, PO Garuda , PO Gunung Harta, PO Harapan Jaya, PO Haryanto, PO Jaya Utama, PO Juragan 99, PO KYM, PO Prima Jasa, PO Ramayana, PO Sinar Jaya, PO Subur Jaya, PO Tami Jaya and PO Tunggal Jaya.
For bus companies from Sulawesi, there is PO Adhi Putra and not to forget the bus companies from Sumatra Island which serve many Trans Sumatra routes to Java Island, there are PO Transport Express in West Sumatra, PO Ranau Indah from South Sumatra, PO Putra Simas from Bengkulu and PO Vido Trans Nusa, Lampung.

The Hino RM 280 bus is claimed to have various advantages, such as the J08E-WD 6 cylinder engine with common rail technology which produces 285 PS of power and 85 kgm of torque, so it is able to provide strong and efficient performance. Comes with the MX07 transmission which has 7 speeds with a more optimal gear ratio combination for high speed performance and fuel efficiency.
The RM 280 is also equipped with Wide Air Suspension to provide optimal driving comfort. As well as a space frame chassis that is easy to apply to various body models. Like a bus trunk that can be made to pass through from right to left, so it can carry more capacity. For safety features, the Hino Bus RM 280 is also equipped with ABS braking variants.
