With note no. 737 of January 5, the health management of ATS Bergamo answers questions regarding the use of school gyms.
Can school gyms continue their business?
The activities organized by ASD / SSD in out-of-school hours in school gyms are similar to those
made in any other gym and therefore fall within the suspension provision pursuant to art. 1,
paragraph 9, letter f) of paragraph 9 art.1 Prime Ministerial Decree 3 November 2020 and subsequent mod and int.
The school gyms will be able to host, behind closed doors and in compliance with the protocols issued by the respective national sports federations, associated sports disciplines and sports promotion bodies, training sessions and competitions of athletes, professionals and non-professionals, of individual sports and team participating in competitions of national interest, in the professional and amateur sectors, specified in art. 1, paragraph 9, letter e).
Furthermore, school gyms will be able to make available any equipped outdoor spaces for the activities that the DPCM allows to carry out outdoors, subject to compliance with the distancing and without
no gathering.
In this case, the use of the changing rooms is prohibited. Sports centers and clubs, contact sports and physical activity and sports (Article 3, paragraph 4, letter d). In the red area all the sports activities provided for by art. 1, paragraph 9, lett. f), and contact sports, as per letter below. g), are suspended, without any exception.
Therefore, unlike the provisions for the yellow area and the orange area, the same sports activities are included in the ban, even if carried out in outdoor clubs.
Orange zone: sports centers remain open, gyms closed. Motor activity is allowed if carried out individually and in the vicinity of the home, as long as it respects the distance of at least one meter from any other person and with the obligation to use masks. Sports activity is allowed only outdoors and in individual form.
It can be carried out, with the observance of the interpersonal distance of at least two meters, also in equipped areas and public parks, where accessible, not necessarily located near one’s home.
