Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The instant messaging application, WhatsApp has rules that can get its users banned from the platform. This will happen if you use the WhatsApp application modified by a third party.
WhatsApp will take strict action against those who use applications that are not official or modified, such as GB WhatsApp, WhatsApp Plus, YoWhatsApp, and FM WhatsApp.
In addition, WhatsApp will also temporarily block those who use the application.
“If you receive an in-app message stating that your account is “temporarily blocked”, this means you may be using an unsupported version of WhatsApp and not the official WhatsApp application,” WhatsApp wrote, quoted Friday (12/31/2021).
WhatsApp explained that the modified application was not developed by WhatsApp or Facebook, which is now called Meta.
The third-party application violates WhatsApp’s Terms of Service. “WhatsApp does not support these third-party applications because we were unable to validate their security practices,” WhatsApp said.
The following is a list of modified WhatsApp applications:
1. GB WhatsApp
GB WhatsApp has features like using two accounts in one device. In addition, it also has features such as an alert message as read, sending high-resolution images, an automatic message reply feature and lots of characters for status updates.
2. YoWhatsApp
The application was developed by Yousef Al-Basha then followed by Fouad Modad who also developed FM WhatsApp. Some of the features offered such as three accounts at once from one application, sending images measuring 100 MB and the feature does not display online status.
3. WhatsApp Plus
WhatsApp Plus has a feature that can change colors, letters to WhatsApp themes. The feature can also turn off voice calls and hide profile pictures, have 4 accounts at once and send messages.
According to LifeWire, WhatsApp Plus is not safe because it is installed in a complicated and unofficial way because it can stop anything.
4. Blue WhatsApp
Blue WhatsApp has a color modification and application theme. There are also features like chats that can be deleted and prevent messages from being deleted. There is also a notification if an account deletes a message.
