USCIS modifies the location for submissions of several important forms – 2024-04-03 00:26:24

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is preparing to implement a change related to the filing location for several important forms, which will take effect starting April 1 of this year. .

According to an official statement shared by the agency, the documents affected by the modification will be Forms I-907, Request for Priority Processing Service; I-140, Immigrant Petition for Foreign Worker; and I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

Likewise, the change will affect those seeking to submit forms I-131, Application for Travel Document; I-765, Application for Employment Authorization; and the I-824, Request for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, which are submitted together with other documents requested by the agency.

The new changes will allow USCIS to centralize the digitization of these forms, so they can be awarded electronically. This seeks to increase the agency’s capacity, redistributing and aligning the workload according to available resources and established priorities.

Those people in Florida who need to deliver these forms can send the documents to the safe location of Elgin, Illinois, for which they will have two options: postal service and package delivery.

United States Postal Service:

  • Attn: Premium I-140.
  • P.O. Box 4008.
  • Carol Stream, IL 60197-4008.

Deliveries by FedEx, UPS and DHL:

  • Attn: Premium I-140 (P.O. Box 4008).
  • 2500 Westfield Drive.
  • Elgin, IL 60124-7836.

Likewise, they will be able to update their immigration status with the Social Security Administration (SSA) without the need to go to one of their offices.
