At the end of May, many swimmers from USC Natation Artistique were in Nantes for the French Youth Championships, which took place in two phases: the first, called the N1 French Championship, bringing together regionally qualified teams who competed to be able to qualify for the second phase called the French Elite Championship where the best French teams met.
The columérin club was represented in these two phases, with its Young 2 Fina team qualified with a free ballet at the CDF N1 and its Young 1 Fina team under the seal of the National Center for Access to the High Level (CNAHN) Occitanie Colomiers directly qualified in French Elite Championship. “The Jeune 2 team had a very good competition in the French-N1 championship, swimming a magnificent ballet which allowed them to take 5th place and qualify for the 2nd phase of the French Elite championships where their career unfortunately goes stop after the playoffs despite a very nice ballet” rejoice their coaches Anna, Estelle and Clara.
The young team 1 Fina will, for its part, present different events throughout this French Elite championship, a duet, a free ballet with eight swimmers, the queen event of artistic swimming and a combined ballet which combines both movements in teams, acrobatics, solos and duets which swims to ten swimmers. After these playoffs, USC will rank in the top 15 French teams. At the end of the finals, the duo ranks 10th and the free ballet climbs to the foot of the podium, 4th. As for the combined ballet, the team made up of Louise, Léonie, Jade, Margaux, Zoé, Clémentine, Juliette, Ambre, Faustine, Cali, Lola and Maëlys enabled the columérin club to return with a bronze medal, thanks to the work accomplished by all the swimmers and her two coaches, Elodie and Géraldine. “These young competitors aged 12 to 15 train more than 20 hours a week in addition to their studies and combine a dual sports and school project” congratulate the club leaders proud of them.
Many performances and choreographies will be to be discovered on the weekend of June 23 to 24 at the Jean Vauchère nautical area: www.usc-natsynchro.com
