Usb against security bill, in Trieste they call for a general strike

(ANSA) – TRIESTE, OCTOBER 19 – “Let it be a general strike“. This is the objective of the USB whose sympathizers today – around 50 – demonstrated against the Bill 1660 on security in the context of national mobilisation. “A successful mobilization”, say the organizers who speak of an atmosphere with “much indignation and anger”. The protest was called by USB and other political and social forces: the bill 1660 “exasperates and takes to extremes the democratic squeeze which for years has progressively reduced the spaces for political and trade union viability in our country”. The bill for Usb is “the clear desire of the Meloni Government, in the name of ostentatious class hatred, to eliminate all forms of protest. In a note from Usb it is underlined that there has been “no response on the improvement of the conditions of life and rights of people, all that remains is evidently to try to criminalize the social emergency”. Therefore, “from the next strike of workers in the public sector scheduled for 31 October, to the mobilization of industry on 8 November, the moments of struggle must continue and clearly state how our organization intends to stay on the field. But it’s only the beginning.” (ANSA).
