The systematic genocide of European Jews was organized at the Wannsee Conference on January 20, 1942 in Berlin. 15 high-ranking representatives of various Reich ministries, the SS and the NSDAP met in what was then the SS guest house at Großer Wannsee. The deportation and murder of eleven million Jews in the areas occupied by the Germans were planned and organized, what the National Socialists called the “Final Solution to the Jewish Question”.
