The United States expanded the COVID-19 booster vaccine campaign Thursday by announcing that 16- and 17-year-olds can receive the third dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted an emergency authorization for young people in that age range to receive a third dose of the vaccine made by Pfizer and its partner BioNTech, if six months have passed since the last injection.
