This year’s Women’s World Championship is played in Switzerland at the Bossard Arena in Zug. The program of the basic groups started yesterday, when three meetings took place.
The world championship of women’s ice hockey under 18 years will start for the Slovak national team on Sunday at noon. The Slovaks will face the selection of the USA.
The USA will be huge favorites in this match. The team from overseas brought a very strong selection to Switzerland. Last year, hockey players from overseas managed to win bronze medals at this event.
Slovakia travels to the tournament to defend its best ranking in history. Last year, Slovak women finished in sixth place. The greatest attention will be directed to Nela Lopušanová, who captivated the world with her stunts at the Under-18 Women’s Ice Hockey World Championships last year.
