Former United States President Donald Trump has criticized the Twitter company for suspending the account of ultra-conservative congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and has described the social network as “a disgrace to democracy.”

Trump considers that in these spaces priority is given to points of view more oriented to the political left, and has asserted that both social networks are “a shame” for the United States.
The former president was also permanently expelled from the social network just days after the assault on the Capitol on January 6 of last year, alleging “risk of further incitement to violence.”
This weekend, the personal Twitter account of the Republican congresswoman – one of the most radical elements of the Republican party – has been permanently suspended for spreading false information about the coronavirus pandemic, according to the company itself.
Twitter had previously temporarily restricted Greene’s personal account for sharing misinformation about the 2020 presidential election and the coronavirus pandemic.
Since her arrival in the Legislature after the elections of that year, the representative for Georgia has used her position to minimize the impact of the pandemic, writing this year that “nobody cares about the variants of the coronavirus”, as well as disdaining the benefits of vaccines.
Despite the deletion of her personal account, Marjorie Taylor Greene can write from another official, reserved by the company for members of the United States Congress.
