USA: sharp rebound in household spending in January

Household consumption spending rebounded 1.8% in January from the previous month in the United States, according to the Commerce Department, a rebound greater than that expected by analysts on average.

On the other hand, their income only increased by 0.6%, an increase lower than the market consensus. In addition, the PCE price index increased by 5.4% year on year in January, including an increase of 4.7% excluding food and energy.
